True Love Waits...
1 Corinthians 13:4

Love is patient,
Did you know that God has never given up on you? This week I will be talking about what True Love is, and there is no better way to understand true love than to talk about the God who IS love. God does not simply love: He is in his essence love. If you remember anything I say today remember this, that God loves you and has a glorious plan for your life. No matter what you or I have done, where you are at in your life, no matter what mistakes you have made in past, nothing in this world can separate you from God's love. He loves you are cares for you deeply right where you are.

Now let me ask you a challenging question: Is that how you love other people? Does your true love allow others the opportunity to be human and not give up on them? Do you give your friends and family the opportunity to change and wait for their best to come out over time? Does your love encompass a multitude of their sins and failures and wait for God's best to come out of them? Do you love in the manner that Christ loves us?

I know this is an area that I struggle with everyday. Constantly I need God to help me have a heart that is patient in love, a love that is full of grace and mercy for our fellow man and patiently waits with optimism for God to bring out the best in us all. Today lets ask God to help us love the way He loves, with a heart that does not give up on people. A heart that waits.
